These course provides graduates with the knowledge and expertise to build a solid and comprehensive pathway into a professional massage career.
Upon successful completion employment options may include: a private practice with provision for health fund rebates, working with other health care professionals in a professional setting - chiropractors, physiotherapists, naturopaths and beauty therapists and working in health retreats, International hotels, day spas, resorts and beauty salons.

Specialization units will allow students to adapt and perform treatments to clients of a broader range of populations. This course with the Certificate IV pre-requisites includes the following:
The 40 week duration consists of 4 x 10 week terms.
Term 1 Jan-April, Term, 2 April-July, Term 3 July-Sept, Term4 Sept-November. Not included in the 40 weeks duration are holiday periods between terms. Holiday periods are as follows:
This qualification is assessed by practical, written, role plays, assignments and massage clinic. Upon successful completion of the total 40 week study program this qualification students will be eligible for a HLT50307 Diploma of Remedial Massage.

International student entry requirements for this course
It's a requirement for enrolment (and for the grant of a student visa) that international students establish their English language proficiency. How you can do this depends on your passport and Education Sector, which determine your Assessment Level. Some levels can use the ACIT test (80% or above, only available at ACIT) to establish their competence. Other levels need IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (or higher) or certified proof of successful Foundation, Certificate IV or higher studies. - • Learning to assess clients massage needs, plan and conduct a remedial massage with sound knowledge of function, pathology, physiology and anatomy.

- • Learn all legal requirements, occupational health and safety requirements and record keeping essential for working in the massage industry.
