Certificate II in Make-Up Services - WRB20204 (CRICOS 054887J)

Certificate II in Make-up Services has been designed as a standard entry level qualification for the Beauty industry. It applies to those wishing to develop the skills and knowledge to begin a career in the Beauty industry. The course involves communicating in the workplace, performing routine salon/store functions, demonstrating skin care products and designing and applying make-up in general and specialist situations.

Course Duration
The course is run over 10 weeks - Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday or Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 8.30am until 3.45pm.

Certificate II in Make up Services is assessed by practical, written and oral assessments, case studies and assignments. You may wish to bring a camera to photograph your work. Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be eligible for a WRB20204 Certificate II in Make-up Services.

Design & Apply Make up for Photography - WRBFS203B
Contouring products & procedures, face shapes & proportions of the face, photogenic facial structure, photographic film & lighting effects & requirements, specific techniques for Oriental, Asian and dark skin, catwalk & high fashion make up design & application, make up for the traditional bride.

Design & Apply Remedial Camouflage - WRBFS204B
This unit encompasses the competencies used in designing and applying remedial camouflage techniques for clients with special needs.

Demonstrate Retail Skin Care Products - WRBFS201B
The facial cleanse for skin care products or make up, product knowledge/data/research on skin care. Includes skin analysis, anatomy of the skin and disorders of the skin.

Recognise Common Skin Conditions - VDDUP001
The unit provides the competencies to recognise some common skin conditions and allergic reactions.

Provide Manicure & Pedicare Services - WRBBS201B
This unit deals with the competencies required in performing a range of manicure and pedicare services.

Apply knowledge of nail science to nail services - WRBCS204A
This unit describes the knowledge required to apply nail science to beauty treatments.

Apply techniques to update beauty industry knowledge - WRBCS202A
This unit deals with the skills & knowledge required to access, increase and update knowledge of the beauty industry and relevant industry legislation.
